Ta Da'aaa

Buzu came to me on a certain 1st of April and said, "Aunty G said I should ask if you have N500 you can spare. She wants to go to work but has no cash at the moment." I remember feeling bad that a whole Gizzle didn't have N500... Unfortunately, N400 was all I had at hand on that particular day so I gave it to him, wishing I could give her more.

This boy came back less than ten minutes later, saying it was April 1st. Of course, I knew the date and wondered what the date had to do with his visit... He then smiled and said, "It's April fools day!"

Chimoooo!!! (God oooo)!
This boy got me sha!
Ye!
How did he think to do that? How did he even come up with the idea? And me of all people...
Apparently, when he got home, he told them what happened. He was then reprimanded and ordered to come to tell me the truth and also return my money.

Awwww...
I just split it into equal halves with him.

Isn't it amazing how children think?
With all our years of mischief, the trouble we got into and chastisement we received plus sense sef,  I am amazed that they can think to outsmart us. Like, how?

Okay, I know I have fallen for a few pranks before, like when Buzu came to me...

But that was a different scenario. Yes?
Did I hear you say "Naaaaa?"
So you think he "pranked" me?πŸ™†πŸ™†
Well! Okay.  If you say so.

How was I to think that my friend hadn't sent him? After all, I could send Sevun or Riot to her if I were in a similar situation.
Anyway...

On this other day, I was about to take a bath and realised I was out of soap. So I shouted, "Hawizi, come pass me a bar of soap!" I didn't want to step out of the bathroom.
I waited for a moment,  no soap or even sound/sign of anyone in my room.

I got tired and opened the bathroom door...
What!?!?!?
What is that?!?!?!
A crab?
In my room?
How?
Who e be?
Where e come from???
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜…Chei.

I looked closely at it, it was not so big and the colour was brown.
"Okay, I may be able to handle it," I reasoned.

So I reached for a wrapper and stepped into my room and, guess what?

Hawizi was standing by one corner, smiling sheepishly, probably waiting for me to shout or jump or something.

My head did a fast calculation. So I asked her, "Who kept that thing there? You?"
She smiles a supposedly mischievous smile and answers me, "Yes."

While keeping a straight face, I said,
"Nne (mama/mother), Biko (please) give me soap make I baff jare, and take that rubbish out of my room!"
I added as I collected the soap and shut the bathroom door, leaving her with her crab.
Let them sort themselves out. I no Kuku send them.

Imagine!
That crab! I knew there was something about it.
It looked too brown to be alive.
"Where on earth did she get it from?" I wondered. It was commonplace to see them in Barnawa because it's swampy. But here? Mba! (no)

"Of course!" I remembered. I heard her pounding crayfish earlier. "She removed it from the crayfish and decided to prank me," I concluded.
Taaaaa!
Unfortunately for her, I was not in the mood to be "pranked."

She actually expected to hear me scream or shout or do something dramatic! Unfortunately for her, just unfortunately for her.

I've also "pranked" my elders ooo.
Hmmm.
I was about thirteen or fourteen, while on holidays from the boarding school. On this particular day, the parents were not around, so I entered the bathroom and screamed like I was hurt.πŸ˜„ (Ba'aba, no flog me oooooh)

That's how big bros came running, holding his trousers and some people at his heels. Can't remember who now.

His expression when he realised what I had done was thunderous. He didn't say anything to me. Just walked away.

He literally wore his trousers while running just to come to my rescue, only to get there and find me laughing.
If he was the "beating" kinda big brother I'm sure he would have flogged me πŸ˜πŸ˜ƒ that day.

OmΓ³, I no try anything like that again. I continued being the good child that I am.

So, have you ever been "pranked"?
Have πŸ˜…you pranked anyone?

Please share with us.

Namaste!

Loosen up. Enjoy life. It's not that serious. It could all change in the twinkling of an eye.
SO, LIVE!
